Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a dynamic organization is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team in Oxnard, CA. In this role, you will handle employee relations, manage leave of absences, oversee recruiting and talent acquisition, and support various HR initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding workplace issues, including conflicts, performance concerns, and interpersonal challenges.Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters to ensure fair and consistent treatment.Investigate employee complaints and concerns, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.Facilitate communication between management and employees to promote a transparent and respectful workplace culture.Administer all types of employee leaves, including Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), short-term disability, workers’ compensation, and personal leave, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.Coordinate the documentation and approval process for employee leave requests.Communicate with employees regarding their leave status and return-to-work plans.Collaborate with managers to manage staffing levels during employee leaves and ensure minimal disruption to operations.Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job specifications.Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed, including training, performance reviews, and policy updates.Stay current on HR best practices, trends, and legal regulations related to employee relations, leave management, and recruiting.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years in HR with a focus on employee relations, leave management, and recruiting.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.Strong understanding of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and other leave regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and recruitment tools.SHRM-CP or PHR certification.

Pay & Schedule:

Pay Rate: $28 - $38 per hour.Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
