Human Resources Generalist - Bilingual Spanish
Century Linen & Uniform is one of the largest commercial laundries in the USA!!! We are currently seeking a Bilingual Human Resource Generalist for our Worcester, MA location. Fulltime Days. Job Summary: The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Plant Manager, and Human Resources Team and Payroll Team in supporting their designated plant(s). This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, onboarding, team member relations, training, performance management, policy implementation, affirmative action, benefits, compensation, and employment law compliance. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: + Full-cycle recruitment process, including creating advertisements, posting open positions on internet sites. + Responsible for thorough review of resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews. + Coordinate pre-employment screenings, to include drug screens, background checks. + Facilitate team member onboarding including orientation and entering team member information into ADP. + Establish recruitment requirements by the organizations’ plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs. + Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. + Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures, pay plans, team member benefits, employment laws, and communicate regularly with team members and management to ensure understanding and compliance. Provides coaching and consultation to managers on topics such as salary adjustments, team member engagement/morale, performance reviews, promotions, and performance issues. + Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Coordinates placement of temporary workers, building relationships, placing orders for temporaries, and maintaining records documenting orders, performance, and cancellations. + Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9 and completed E-Verify verification. + Maintains team member personnel files. + Partner with HR Management, Payroll Management and HR departments at other locations on HR matters. + Handles team member relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. + Drive team member engagement and communication efforts. + Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. + Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. + Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database. + Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. + Manages hepatitis B vaccination shots for affected team members. + Performs other HR duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: + Associate degree and one year of experience in the HR field, or 2 years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience. + Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations + Sound judgement and problem solving + Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Familiarity with MS Office products + Ability to function appropriately under stressful conditions.
