Position Summary: The plant HR Generalist at our Manitowoc Wisconsin production location plays a critical role collaborating with the plant leadership supporting the workforce to ensure that the facility operates smoothly and efficiently, with the focus of positive employee relations and engagement. A Human Resources Generalist have a wide range of responsibilities, include recruiting, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and labor laws and company policies. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with operational leaders to foster a positive work environment, drive employee engagement, and support talent development initiatives. By leveraging strong communication and analytical skills, the HR Generalist will address employee inquiries, facilitate performance management processes, and implement workplace policies that align with organizational goals. This role is essential for promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the plant adheres to all HR best practices and legal requirements. Scope/ Supervision and Interaction: Reports To: Division HR Manager. No direct reports. Number of total plant employees:65 Essential Functions: + Recruitment and Selection: Posts job requisitions, reviews applications, interviews, and leads the onsite interview and selection process for hourly positions. Partnering with division talent acquisition specialist; supports functional and operational leaders to fill open salaried positions. + Employee Relations: Respond to moderately complex questions on employee matters or concerns from managers and employees. . Conductions investigations as needed and will partner with site leadership and Division Human Resources on corrective action. + Engagement: Lead our employee engagement team and oversee site’s action plans to improve employee engagement. + Onboarding and Training: Lead the onboarding of new employees, administer routine local training, coordinate corporate sponsored training, support managers in routine development planning. + Performance Management and Compensation: Supports plant manager and other operational leaders to complete performance management and talent management cycle. + Benefits Administration: Responsible for communicating and being source of knowledge on employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and vacation time. Will assist with the enrollment of new employees in benefits programs. + Compliance: Responsible for ensuring that the facility is following all applicable labor laws and regulations. This may involve maintaining employee records and partnering with vendor partners to on employee leave programs. Oversees majority of onboarding, training, and job evaluation records as it relates to internal and external audits. + Policy Oversight: Responsible for developing and implementing workplace policies and procedures, such as employee handbooks. + Reporting and Analytics: Con ducts HR reporting and analytics, as needed. Qualifications: + Education: a bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, or related field is required. SHRM Certification, preferred. + Experience: minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing or production environment.
