The Human Resources Generalist has responsibility for all aspects of Human Resources including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compensation, policy implementation and training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with peer group and Human Resources Director to develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures. Develop sourcing strategies based on local market to drive candidate pipeline/recruit talented employees. Partner with benefits team and client group to ensure successful on-boarding / integration. Counsel client group leadership on sound employee relations strategies. Respond promptly and thoughtfully to employee questions concerning policies, procedures and programs. Lead investigation and resolution process with client group responding to employee complaints/concerns. Conduct exit interviews and partner with managers to improve climate based upon constructive feedback. Deliver impactful management training in areas such as interviewing, hiring, termination, promotion, performance evaluation, safety and harassment prevention. Monitor the performance management program to ensure meaningful performance evaluations are conducted in accordance with Company policies. Assist in the administration of benefits programs and conduct an annual open enrollment process. Respond to unemployment claims and represent the Company at unemployment hearings. Manage medical leaves of absence and worker’s compensation claims in partnership with corporate specialists. Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation. Analyze trends and metrics. Develop and implement strategies to address competitive, complex business issues. Perform projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred SPHR or PHR certification preferred. 3 years of related HR experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong conflict management, influencing and negotiation skills. Demonstrated experience developing client group relationships to gain support and achieve results. Proven track record in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Working experience with ADP
