Description We are looking to onboard a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the Food & Food Processing industry in Arabi, Louisiana. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The HR Assistant will provide administrative support, manage employee data changes, and handle other HR-related tasks. Responsibilities: • Provide administrative support to the HR team • Handle employee data changes such as address updates, direct deposit changes, and position changes • Manage the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) documents and processes • Run leave of absence reports and submit them to the timekeeper • Complete bid forms for new employees weekly • Manage the online filing and electronic filing system • Screen resumes for entry level positions • Pull employee information from files • Utilize Microsoft Word for basic functions and email communication • Perform background checks and employee assistance duties • Manage other HR-related tasks as assigned Requirements • Possess experience in conducting Background Checks • Ability to handle Benefit Functions effectively • Strong Customer Service skills • Demonstrated ability in providing Employee Assistance • Proven track record in managing Employee Changes • Experience in handling Employee Timesheets • Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) • Proficient in Microsoft Word • Experience in Scanning Documents • Skilled in Data Entry Robert Half puts you in the best position to succeed by advocating on your behalf and promoting you to employers.
