Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resource Assistant to join a local and growing organization. As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the administrative functions of the HR department and helping to maintain a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities: + Manage and maintain employee records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of all HR documentation. Process new hire paperwork, terminations, and updates to employee information + Assist in recruiting processes, such as posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates and hiring managers + Facilitate new hire orientation processes, ensuring employees are set up for success in their roles. + Act as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating more complex queries to senior HR professionals as needed. + Help ensure the organization complies with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. + Update and maintain HRIS (Human Resources Information System) databases with employee information. Generate HR reports and metrics for leadership + Assist with benefits enrollment, employee leave tracking, and addressing benefits-related inquiries. + Coordinate HR-related activities and events, including training programs, employee engagement initiatives, and company-wide meetings. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR are advantageous but not mandatory. + 2-3 years of experience in human resources or administrative roles is preferred. Relevant internships or demonstrated capability in HR-related tasks may also be considered for entry-level candidates. + Familiarity with HR software systems like Workday, ADP, or BambooHR is preferred. Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. + Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. + Basic understanding of federal, state, and local employment regulations is an added advantage.
