Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks that contribute to the efficiency and smooth running of the HR department. You will be part of a team that is responsible for a range of administrative duties that ensure the office operates professionally and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Handling reception duties, including welcoming guests, directing them to the appropriate office or person, and maintaining the reception area
• Overseeing office supplies, including ordering and maintaining inventory
• Managing office calendars and scheduling meetings
• Assisting with travel arrangements and accommodation for team members
• Keeping track of office expenses and costs
• Performing general clerical duties, such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
• Assisting with HR administrative tasks, including auditing, background checks, and benefit functions
• Using financial services software, such as ADP, for tasks such as posting Accounts Payables
• Reviewing timecards and assisting with payroll processing using software like ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian
• Providing excellent customer service, both in-person and via phone or email
• Ensuring office security procedures are maintained, including controlling access via the reception desk and monitoring the logbook. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role as a Human Resources Assistant
• Proficient in using ADP - Financial Services for HR management
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a must
• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Familiarity with Ceridian HR software
• Proficient in HRMS (Human Resources Management System)
• Experience with About Time software is desirable
• Skilled in auditing processes within the HR department
• Experience in conducting background checks for potential employees
• Ability to manage various benefit functions efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proven experience in providing administrative assistance within the HR department TalentMatch®
