Human Resources (HR) Manager
Description We are in the legal industry, situated in New York, and are currently looking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager. The role involves managing a range of HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, and employment law compliance. The position requires an individual who can handle a hybrid working model, with in-office presence required from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Fridays. Responsibilities: • Manage full cycle recruiting processes, ensuring efficient and effective hiring • Oversee benefits administration including open enrollment and 401K administration • Handle timecards and Paid Time Off (PTO) requests, ensuring accurate and timely processing • Maintain a thorough understanding of New York employment laws and ensure company compliance • Administer COBRA, ensuring all processes are conducted correctly and in a timely manner • Manage employee relations, including sensitive conversations and terminations • Oversee Leave of Absence (LOA) administration, ensuring all processes are conducted correctly and in a timely manner • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records through the HRIS system • Use various software tools such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HCM, Benefit Functions, Paycom • Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years experience in a HR management role within the legal sector • Proficient in using ADP - Financial Services for payroll and other financial transactions • Experience with ADP Workforce Now for HR management tasks • Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode for better network and communication management • Familiarity with Ceridian for human capital management (HCM) • Capacity to perform HCM tasks effectively • Ability to oversee and manage benefit functions for employees • Excellent communication skills for effective team and client interactions • Strong understanding of compliance laws and regulations within the legal sector • Experience in managing employee relations and resolving workplace issues • Knowledge of hiring processes and the ability to streamline them for efficiency • Proficient in using Paycom for payroll and HR management tasks • Experience in managing leave of absence for employees • Ability to handle COBRA administration effectively • Proficient in benefits administration and the ability to ensure all employees receive their entitled benefits.
