Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Fridley, MN. The HR Manager will be involved in a variety of tasks including recruitment activities, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Lead full cycle recruitment processes and ensure efficient onboarding of new employees
• Conduct new employee orientations and manage employee disciplinary actions when necessary
• Develop and implement short and long-term HR strategies in alignment with company culture and values
• Update job descriptions regularly to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Administer benefits and participate in bi-weekly HR and monthly Safety Committee meetings
• Coordinate annual employee performance reviews and clarify job responsibilities to all employees
• Oversee leave of absence paperwork and represent the company in unemployment claims
• Prepare reports on injuries and manage workers compensation claims proactively
• Submit data for compensation and benefits analysis to assist management in decision-making
• Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships and boost employee morale
• Recommend new policies and procedures for the further development of the HR department
• Monitor employees’ payroll deductions relating to benefits and 401k
• Review timecards and assist in payroll processing
• Manage employee child support and other garnishments, ensuring proper setup in payroll system
• Collaborate with Controller/CFO to verify proper taxation of employee benefits
• Maintain department records and reports in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
This position is fully onsite with general flexibility in hours. Free onsite parking is available. An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of broad HR experience. Bachelors Degree in HR, Business Administration, or similar is preferred, but not required.
This opportunity offers beginning pay of $80-110k, depending on qualifications. Discretionary bonus potential is also available depending upon individual and company performance. Requirements • Proven experience in managing Benefit Functions within an organization
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
• Understanding and experience in Compliance related to HR field
• Ability to handle Employee Relations effectively and professionally
• Proficiency in Hiring Processes and Corporate Recruiting
• Experience in executing effective Onboarding programs
• Demonstrated ability to Conduct new-Employee Orientations
• Experience in Disciplining Employees and Counseling Employees
• Capability to resolve Employee conflicts in a fair and consistent manner
• Familiarity with creating and revising Employee Handbooks
• Proven track record in conducting Employee Relations Investigations
• Experience in Benefits Administration
• Understanding of Compensation & Benefits, including Compensation Analysis, Compensation Benchmarking, and Compensation Surveys
• Familiarity with Paychex and Paychex Payroll systems
• Experience with Automated Payroll systems
• Proven ability in Employee Training and development
• Demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration
• Familiarity with Employment Policies and their implementation and enforcement in the workplace.
