Human Resources (HR) Manager
Description We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee all human resource functions across our client's organization. This individual will play a critical role in fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture while bringing a strategic focus to human resources operations. The role requires a professional who thrives on communication and collaboration, with the ability to support employees at all levels and serve as a trusted adviser to leadership. The role is fully onsite in Dubuque, IA, with limited travel to regional locations (primarily within the Midwest). Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations: + Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries. + Partner with managers across divisions to address employee management issues, providing guidance on more complex challenges. + Maintain a consistent presence to promote an open-door policy and ensure employees feel supported and heard. Human Resources Operations: + Oversee benefits management, payroll inquiries (via ADP), training & development, and compliance with policies and procedures. + Lead initiatives to refine job descriptions and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed. + Ensure alignment with organizational goals while managing expectations across diverse teams. Strategic Support: + Participate in leadership discussions, offering HR updates and strategic recommendations while navigating varying perspectives from leadership. + Support leadership transition and succession planning efforts, addressing challenges and maintaining alignment with organizational vision. + Foster a culture of employee engagement, alignment, and professional growth. Safety Responsibilities (Optional): + Lead safety program initiatives if qualified. Candidates without safety expertise will not be responsible for this function. Requirements Qualifications: + Broad HR experience, including employee relations, benefits management, compliance, and familiarity with HRIS systems (experience with ADP is a strong plus). + Experience managing transitions or leadership succession planning is highly desirable. + Bachelor's degree preferred; however, significant experience, personality, and attitude are paramount. + SHRM/PHR or other certifications are a bonus.
