Human Resources Manager
As a Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for aligning human resources strategies with the business goals of the facility and the Heritage organization. This role will be a key partner to both the Corporate Human Resources team and the facility Plant Manager.\n
\n

Essential Functions & Requirements: \n\nPrioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times\nCollaborates with site and senior leadership to develop human resources strategies that support broader business objectives; serves as a thought partner to Plant Manager on key personnel issues or changes \nPartners with human resources team to develop and implement human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning employment \nAddresses, mediates and resolves employee issues to promote a positive and productive work environment \nMonitors employee records and assists in all employee corrective action procedures as needed \nConducts and documents employee exit interviews; identifies trends and implements initiatives for retention improvement\nPartners with Corporate Talent Acquisition team to facilitate the interview process and assists with local recruitment efforts, including maintaining vendor partnerships as needed\nOversees the New Hire Orientation experience; works with local team to identify opportunities to enhance the New Hire process \nMonitors facility timekeeping to ensure it is completed and approved in a timely manner; coordinates with Corporate Payroll team to ensure alignment and accuracy for payments and deductions \nAssists in response development for employee relations issues or unemployment claims \nProvides input on business unit structures, workforce preparation and succession planning \nProvides coaching to managers during the performance appraisal process and assists in the development and completion of performance improvement plans as needed \nAssists in identifying training needs and participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs \nCoordinates special projects and facility events to promote employee and community engagement \nSupports organizational changes and assists managers and employees to ensure a smooth transition \nCompletes supervisory responsibilities for team member(s) including timekeeping, performance appraisals, coaching, and daily task management \nMaintains the ability to conduct work outside of traditional hours when needed\nTakes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization \n\n
\n

Education: \n\nBachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field (required)\nCertifications: PHR or SPHR (preferred) \n\n
\n

Experience: \n\n5+ years of experience as a human resources manager or a similar role (required) \n\n
\n

Competencies: \n\nStrong working knowledge of HR principles, practices and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations regarding employment\nUnwavering ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality when navigating information related to facility personnel or organizational initiatives\nStrong cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds \nProficiency in HR software and tools for managing employees and HR processes \nAbility to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances\nExcellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers \nAbility to gain alignment with different functional groups and represent a common point of view across various stakeholders\nAbility to champion change and lead through influence for targeted or broad organizational transitions \nRegular and predictable attendance to perform the essential functions and requirements of this role\n\n
