The Job:  

As a Human Resources Manager, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as an on-site employee.    Looking for a dynamic HR Manager to join our Global Operations/Tools team to help change the way we work and transform our business!  The position provides strategic and operational HR support to our Distribution Center onsite in Northlake, TX. The HR Manager plans and implements human resources initiatives designed to maximize organizational effectiveness. The HR Manager is responsible for driving talent management/development processes, succession planning, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and positive employee relations.  

You’ll get to:  

Manage all HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, compensation, employee relations, training, and development. Works with the Director of HR Distribution to standardize and implement new policies and procedures.  Acts as Lead Change Agent in the implementation of new policies and procedures.Handles high profile and difficult employee relations issues, including, but not limited to, dealing with understaffing, resolving disputes, terminating employment, and administering disciplinary procedures.Develop an employee-oriented culture that strives on safety, quality, continuous improvement, and productivity.Responsible for overseeing site payroll (approvals/inquiries)Reinforces and advocates for Open Door Policy across the leadership team.Apply strategic talent management solutions to continuously improve talent retention, assessment, development, and career/professional growth.Assist leaders to identify and coordinate training and development activities. Promote participation in learning and development assignments. Continually assess the local market to ensure the competitiveness within the distribution realm.

The Person:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university. Professional HR certification is preferred.More than five years related human resources experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or similar environment. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and familiar with Workday HRISExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly trusted at all levels of the organization.  Acts with integrity and is an advocate for both employees and the business.Extensive employee relations’ background including familiarity with all compliance and related employment-law issuesDemonstrated ability to facilitate large and/or small group meetingsSolid track record as an HR generalist with knowledge of benefits, worker's comp, workplace safety, compensation, employee communication and training and Organizational Development.Experience with Workday a plus.
