HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
The Plant Human Resources Manager is responsible for setting and executing the HR strategy within our manufacturing plant. This role leads all facets of HR at the plant facility including but not limited to: talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards, talent management, diversity & inclusion, etc. This role collaborates with peers at our corporate location as well as the Plant HR Managers in other locations. The ideal candidate must have significant experience in manufacturing environments. Helps with company benefit programs and assures the organizations adherence to current employment and labor laws. Encourages employee engagement, communication, development and training. Ensures optimum utilization of personnel and other resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Builds strong relationships with managers and provides thoughtful partnership on how HR can help deliver the business planExecutes core HR processes, including performance management, talent acquisition, coaching, succession planning, change management, culture, training and DEI Uses data and analytics to create actionable insights in support of strategic people prioritiesSupports organizational design efforts attending to both present and future business aspirations for the companyPartners with leadership to identify skill and capability gaps, key talent, retention risks, and engagement opportunitiesAssists in the development of employees to obtain a higher organizational performance, as well as an improvement in process, leadership, employee development, and learningWorks collaboratively in a team environmentServes as Management Chairperson of the Safety Committee and Director of Site Emergency Action Plan, and sustains a safety-first culture throughout the locationAssess training and development needs of the location and prepare location training plans accordinglyCollaborate with location leadership team to ensure strategies are in place for employee engagement and retentionEmployees are expected to work onsite to attend in person meetings and collaborate as necessaryOther duties as assignedDecisions Making Scope/Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for the execution and interpretation of policies and for the successful operation of assigned units. Have authority to discipline and recommend hires/terminations. Direct supervisor to HR Administrator, HR Generalist, Training Manager, Safety Manager, Payroll Administrator, Administrative Assistant to HR, HR intern, Benefits Administrator, and Office Administrator, depending on size and complexity of assigned location. RequirementsEducation and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in HR or a related field5+ years of HR experience in following areas: performance management, coaching, talent acquisition, change management, culture, employee experience, and/or HR strategyWorking knowledge of employment and labor laws such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, ESTA, etc.Knowledge and understanding of benefits administration, i.e. annual enrollment process, life status changes, COBRA, etc.Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
