GCG Automation & Factory Solutions (AFS) is seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager who can handle diverse HR responsibilities for an evolving, dynamic industrial automation business. This role requires an individual with broad HR knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills who will be able to manage multiple priorities to support our organization's growth and talent needs.

 

The ideal candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to changing organizational needs while maintaining a high standard of HR service delivery. You will serve as a key strategic partner to the business, working closely with leadership and employees to align HR initiatives with business goals. You will lead and support initiatives that enhance organizational design, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and change management while addressing the unique needs of both our warehouse workforce and broader employee population.

 

This position will be located in our Rochester Hills, Michigan office. Other locations requiring occasional travel include Miamisburg, OH; Chesterfield, MO; Cranberry Township, PA; and Germantown, WI.  

 

What you'll do

 

HR Support

Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing insights and guidance on talent strategies, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.Support the Vice President of HR in driving change management, cultural transformation, and leadership development initiatives.Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values.

Talent Management & Development

Partner with leadership to identify and develop high-potential talent, ensuring robust succession planning.Facilitate performance management processes that drive accountability and development.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver impactful training and development programs.

Employee Relations & Workforce Engagement

Serve as a primary resource for employee relations, addressing workplace issues and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.Build strong relationships with our warehouse teams, ensuring their unique challenges and needs are met.Drive initiatives to enhance communication and engagement with a dispersed and diverse workforce.

HR Operations & Compliance

Ensure HR policies and practices comply with labor laws and regulations, with a strong focus on warehouse compliance and safety.Manage HR systems and data accuracy within platforms such as ADP, Cornerstone, and iCIMS.Develop and utilize HR metrics to inform decisions and track progress toward business goals.

Recruitment & Onboarding

Partner with hiring managers to attract, select, and retain top talent for both corporate and warehouse roles.Support job description development, offer processes, and onboarding to ensure a seamless employee experience.

 

 What you'll bring 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.5+ years of HR experience, including employee relations and change management.Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and recruitment strategies.Demonstrated ability to lead and influence in a dynamic and evolving organization.Proficiency in HRIS, talent management platforms, and applicant tracking systems; experience with ADP and Cornerstone is a plus.Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution.
