Required to implement HR strategies and build strategic partnerships overseeing recruitment employee relations change management skills development and adherence to all mandatory regulatory and statutory requirements The successful candidate would be one with experience
reporting at an executive level
Key Performance Areas
Work with the CEO to strategically plan align and implement HR initiatives
HR management and development including recruitment and selection policy/practices discipline grievance mentoring salary and conditions contracts training and development talent management succession planning and driving goals/performance
Keep up to date with HR legislation by researching and attending necessary events before providing suitable interpretation to management team
Update the company server and HR management systems with timely relevant forms policies and procedures to ensure accessibility for employees at all times
To facilitate as a mediator when required to try and resolve employee grievances
Update and alignment of all HR policies and continually creating employee awareness on all policies
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for identifying planning delivering and measuring learning and development initiatives according to the company&rsquos annual skills plan succession plans as well as staff career aspirations
Drive biannual performance assessment and moderation processes
Administer or change benefits health plans retirement plans etc
Foster crossfunctional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected
Regularly meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments discussing any problems or grievances
Manage and supervise other HR staff ensuring they are assigned and carry out proper tasks
Understand and adhere to all pertinent labour laws and legal compliance
Oversee the company&rsquos Employment Equity targets and ensure they are pursued and reported on Department of Labour Employment Equity submission
MICT Seta Skills Development submission
BBBEE &ndash planning and implementation for all BEE elements BEE verification and audit
Leave reconciliation
Management reporting
Payroll functions and check all reports generated in regard hereto
Management of the Employee Wellbeing Programme EWP &ndash including negotiating terms with providers and suppliers to the EWP collecting and analysing employee data via internal surveys to measure employer satisfaction and develop talent retention strategies
Requirements
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Development Industrial Psychology or Industrial Relations Honours Degree an advantage
Computer literacy MS Office Oracle Sage VIP Payroll
Sound knowledge and understanding of Human Resource Management
At least 10 years experience in a Generalist Human Resource position the last three years of which should have been leading a human resource department
Sound knowledge and experience working with Unions LRA BCEA EEA SDL SAQA NQF Acts
Experience in working with Executive and Senior Management
A good understanding of budgeting and strategic planning
Knowledgeable about mediation arbitration interdicts and all relevant legislation
Exposure to black advancement affirmative action organization development and corporate social involvement
Adept at managing change
Required to attend meetings functions/events
