In this vital role you will As a member of the Operations Talent and Culture team, you will contribute directly to the leadership development programs for the Global Operations community, comprised of more than 7,800 colleagues worldwide. In this vital role, you will be accountable for the Emerging Talent Rotational Program (ETRP) which is part of Operations’ Fuel Your Potential portfolio of leadership development programs. ETRP is comprised of site-based ETRP programs, and you will oversee the global ETRP network and act as a matrix manager for the site-based ETRP program leads. You will also serve as the ETRP program manager for the Amgen Thousand Oaks (ATO) site. Additionally, you will chair the Global Operations Intern and Co-op Council, comprised of University Relations professionals and early career talent program leads across Operations, ensuring impact over activity and alignment on standard processes. This role reports into the head of the Fuel Your Potential Program team. **In this role, you will:** + Serve as the global ETRP program lead with oversight of the end-to-end program development and execution + Oversee ETRP site leads as matrix manager in partnership with HR Site leads + Continuously improve the design and management of the global Fuel ETRP program in collaboration with ETRP site leads; evolve program standards and business processes across all ETRP programs + Identify and continuously monitor meaningful measures to assess program effectiveness and business impact + Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for the ETRP program, in partnership with ETRP site leads + Foster a sense of community with program participants + Partner with business leaders in Operations to identify rotation assignment and landing role opportunities for program participants, ensuring a successful experience for the business and participants + Partner with functional and site Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) on participant experience and progress through the program, solicit HRBP feedback on the program, and provide them with timely updates + Provide updates to the Talent Council responsible for the Fuel programs + Manage the financials associated with ETRP including purchase orders, invoices, and budget forecasting and reconciliation to Finance Partners + Maintain program-related resources + Partner with colleagues in the Operations Talent & Culture team and the enterprise Talent Center of Excellence team to ensure alignment and shared insights/findings + Manage the end-to-end execution of ETRP at the ATO site, including participant recruitment and selection; rotation assignment and landing role sourcing and matching; coaching and supporting participants; collecting and consolidating feedback from sponsors, managers, mentors, and participants; coordination and execution of training curriculum and engagement activities; tracking participant progress, reporting & program metrics; and end-to-end participant care + Oversee training and assessment for ETRP + Oversee the relationship with external training and assessment partners to ensure high quality learning curriculum and development opportunities + Ensure appropriate alignment with other Fuel programs to maintain appropriate continuity of the learning journey across Fuel programs + Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, the Operations Talent & Culture Scout, Global Mobility, and University Relations on recruitment and onboarding of talent into the program + Act as the main point of contact and escalation to/from the University Relations team to ensure a strong partnership and information sharing; partner with the University Relations team to develop processes, tools, and resources that provide a seamless intern recruitment, selection, and conversion experience for key partners + Chair the Global Operations Intern & Co-op Council + Serve as the key point of contact and facilitator of the council to help drive sustainment, alignment, and standard process sharing + In partnership with the council meeting manager, create pre-reads, meeting minutes, and other resources to ensure efficient and effective communication, discussion, and action + Create, leverage, and drive utilization of insight tools to empower Operations leaders to champion conversion of early career talent + Contribute to the establishment, maintenance and measurement of success criteria and goals for sustaining progress made to date + Travel for ETRP and Fuel team events that are scheduled throughout the year **Win** **What we expect of you** We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The collaborative professional we seek is a leader with these qualifications. **Basic Qualifications:** Doctorate degree **Or** Master’s degree and 2 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience **Or** Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience **Or** Associate’s degree and 8 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience **Or** High school diploma / GED and 10 years of leadership development, human resources, talent management, learning/instructional design, or project/program management experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with leadership development programs and/ or program management + Experience in human resources, learning, recruiting and/or talent management + People leadership experience + Experience working across functions and geographies and in a matrixed organization + Strong project management and organizational skills + Ability to see relationships among different projects and initiatives, and a drive to want to facilitate connections among them to ensure a more impactful outcome + Demonstrated ability to understand the clients’ needs and translate them into actions + Ability to create relationships at all levels of the organization + Solid verbal and written communication combined with cross-cultural sensitivity + Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead a room through meaningful discussion + Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities and competing demands + Strong analytical skills and understanding of how to use data to inform program and process design + Self-directed and willing to take informed risks + Diligent, resourceful, and able to manage shifting priorities + A strong conviction for efficiency, ingenuity, and impact over activity + Willingness to “speak up” and respectfully challenge previous processes to drive continuous change + A strong interest in having a broad impact for the better and having fun while doing it + Ability to navigate change and work with ambiguity + Ability to offer innovative ideas and carry them through to implementation **Thrive** **What you can expect of us** As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates’ professional and personal growth and well-being.
