If you share our passion for creating an airline people love, we want to hear from you. **Role Summary** This individual contributor will serve as both a trusted advisor and a key partner to local leaders, providing strategic guidance on HR matters while helping to drive day-to-day HR operations in the Hawaiian islands for Alaska Airlines. As a regional HR director, this role will be responsible for supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, all while fostering strong relationships with local leadership teams to align HR initiatives with business goals. **Key Duties** + As the sole subject matter expert and thought leader in HR for the regional area, this role acts as a trusted advisor for local leaders offering guidance and alignment with the larger HR organization. + Define long-term strategy for HR field support, responsible for local HR effectiveness and connected strategy of the Hawaiian islands. + Partner closely with HR Communities of Excellence and HRBPs to remain aligned in HR delivery. + Make significant, impactful decisions for the region that serves as precedent for future regional decisions. + Design and implement innovative solutions to promote employee engagement and retention, working closely with leaders to build a strong, inclusive company culture. + Support field offices and stations by traveling interisland. + Facilitate international HR program work in close coordination with the Program Manager and HRBP team. + Identify areas for HR process improvement and efficiency, offering solutions that align with business objectives. + Foster a positive workplace environment by proactively addressing employee concerns and resolving workplace conflicts in alignment with company policies. + Partner with local leaders to identify development needs and help implement learning and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and career growth. + Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies. Stay updated on relevant HR regulations and support the implementation of HR practices that meet legal requirements. + Advise and provide strong counsel for local executive leadership. **Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills** **Required:** + 10 years of experience in Human Resources. + Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree + Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. + Proven ability to think strategically and provide sound HR advice to leaders. + High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive matters. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. + Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. + Ability to travel 25% of the time, as needed. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum age of 18. + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. **Preferred:** + SHRM-CP, PHR, or other relevant HR certification. + Experience working in a multi-location or global organization. + Familiarity with HR analytics and reporting tools **Job-Specific Leadership Expectations** + Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. + Create a diverse and inclusive culture where all employees feel safe, included and they belong. **Salary Range** $134,000 - $207,700 / year **Salary Details** Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
