Join our dynamic team at the University of Miami as a Human Resources Representative, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting our HR operations and contributing to a culture of excellence. The Human Resources Representative will be responsible for coordinating and performing high-volume HR data input, calculations, and document processing. This entry-level position supports critical HR functions, including onboarding, payroll processing, and maintaining employee records. You will be part of a collaborative team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our HR systems.Key Responsibilities + Data Management: Compile and record employee information, such as personal details, compensation, and job data, into applicable systems with precision. + Document Processing: Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or databases while maintaining accuracy and organization. + Payroll Support: Compute wages, record data for payroll processing, and verify all input for accuracy. + I-9 Compliance: Provide information on required documents and ensure compliance with regulations. + Onboarding Coordination: Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. + Troubleshooting: Follow up on data integrity questions, providing resolutions promptly. + Support Functions: Assist employees via phone, email, and walk-in inquiries, and serve as a backup for the front desk when needed. + General Administration: Sort, organize, and maintain paperwork and ensure all processes align with University policies and procedures. Qualifications + Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. + Experience: At least 1 year of relevant Human Resources experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Familiarity with general office procedures and operations. + Strong ability to prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and reports. + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure. + Proficiency in handling confidential information with discretion. + Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
