Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about starting your career in Human Resources? Join our dynamic team at the University of Miami as a Human Resources Representative, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting our HR operations and contributing to a culture of excellence.

The Human Resources Representative will be responsible for coordinating and performing high-volume HR data input, calculations, and document processing. This entry-level position supports critical HR functions, including onboarding, payroll processing, and maintaining employee records. You will be part of a collaborative team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our HR systems.Key Responsibilities

Data Management: Compile and record employee information, such as personal details, compensation, and job data, into applicable systems with precision.

Document Processing: Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or databases while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Payroll Support: Compute wages, record data for payroll processing, and verify all input for accuracy.

I-9 Compliance: Provide information on required documents and ensure compliance with regulations.

Onboarding Coordination: Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.

Troubleshooting: Follow up on data integrity questions, providing resolutions promptly.

Support Functions: Assist employees via phone, email, and walk-in inquiries, and serve as a backup for the front desk when needed.

General Administration: Sort, organize, and maintain paperwork and ensure all processes align with University policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least 1 year of relevant Human Resources experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Familiarity with general office procedures and operations.

Strong ability to prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and reports.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.

Proficiency in handling confidential information with discretion.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
