Senior Human Resources Generalist – Onsite: Phoenix, AZ

What Will You Do?

The Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for the human resources needs of supported business unit(s) and implementation of best practices to support achievement of corporate business objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to employee and labor relations, recruitment and staffing, onboarding of new employees, training, performance management, policy implementation, coaching and mentoring, and assisting other support functions in the area of employee benefits, safety and payroll. The Senior HR Generalist performs HR-related duties on a professional level, in collaboration with senior HR management, to support designated business unit(s).The Senior HR Generalist must be able to build relationships and establish credibility with employees from the wide range of departments comprising the corporate office. This position must be able to recognize and effectively adapt to changes in practices, protocols, and preferences from department to department. You will:

Work within the business to maintain all HR regulations and a work environment that is consistent with company regulations.Conduct thorough investigations regarding employee relations matters, safety and performance issues, harassment, and other behavior that may be a violation of Company policy. Review results with supervisor and HR Manager and make recommendations on course of action. Assist the supervisor and/or HR Management with the corrective action and/or termination process, following all relevant SOP’s. Ensure appropriate staffing levels, determine business needs and help assist creating business plans to adequately achieve desired headcounts.Develop, implement and enforce company policies, processes, and procedures. Maintain system to document changes to company policy manuals and handbooks. Participate in policy discussions and make recommendations regarding policy changes. Oversee the corrective action and disciplinary process within department ensuring consistency of enforcement.Conduct and assist with corrective actions, exit interviews, investigations, terminations, training, recruitment activities and participation in employee benefit rollout, administrative duties, etc., as needed.Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database. Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.Audit, maintain, and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records.Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup 

What Do You Need?

3+ years of Human Resource experience, including employee relations - requiredBachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience - requiredPHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SP - preferredAdvanced knowledge of state and federal employment laws, safety, practices and procedures, employee relations principles and recruiting methodsWork independently as well as in a team environmentDocument management systemAnalytical and problem solving skills. Strong attention to detailMaintain confidentialityPerform under strong demands in a fast-paced environmentWork professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respectDisplay empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customersRespond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
