Summary About the Position: You will serves as a Human Resources Specialist utilizing knowledge of various HR programs, regulations, and policies ensuring actions taken align with the organization's goals and requirements. This position is located in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities Advise leadership and staff members on the principles of sound HR management as it relates to workforce restructuring in consonance with controlling laws, directives, regulations, and policies. Collaborate with stakeholders such as EEO to promote Diversity and Inclusion, workload/workforce (WL/WF) analysts, RM manpower teams, public affairs, and corresponding staff at the District and/or Division. Perform formal on-site review of HR operations using staff team members to evaluate program effectiveness, timeliness, and conformance with policies and directives. Assist in the preparation of written report of findings, recommendations for improvements, as well as areas of strength and best practices to staff officials at all levels within the district. Coordinate high-level review sessions and multi-organizational actions. Research situations that involve various questions raised by command management officials and/or staff. Serve as District liaison on awards, drug testing, and Army allocations, such as VSIP, DHA, and ACCMA. GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level, which includes: experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders to develop recruitment strategies; advising management on various HR regulations, policies and programs; and analyzing human capital data to inform business decisions. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Program Management Staffing & Recruiting Strategic Workforce Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). To be referred, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement. Education For this job at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a(n) 10 Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Relocation/Recruitment/Advance In-hire incentive may be authorized for a highly qualified candidate and an agency determination that payment is in the Government Interest.
