Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis to cover for a maternity leave. The successful candidate will handle various HR administrative tasks, including benefits administration, leave tracking, onboarding support, and more.

ResponsibilitiesDownload designated reports from Paylocity, make minor data adjustments, and distribute final reports to the appropriate team members.Maintain and update the weekly Leave of Absence (LOA) Status Report.Manage monthly benefits invoices, download from carrier websites, self-report enrollments to NY Life.Record benefits payments for employees on LOA, code to Accounting, and follow up with employees on a weekly basis.Review employee benefit enrollments for accuracy, send Dependent Verification requests, and track required documentation.Administer Learning Management System (LMS) in Paylocity, including assigning training modules, configuring content, monitoring completions, and distributing audits to leadership.Monitor and resolve carrier file error reports, coordinating with carriers and internal teams.Respond to benefit-related inquiries from employees, process requests for ID cards, and provide coverage clarification.

1-2+ years of experience in HR AdministrationProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookup and pivot tablesExperience with HRIS systems, preferably PaylocityKnowledge of Leave of Absence AdministrationBenefits AdministrationLearning Management Systems (LMS)HR ReportingOnboardingEmployee Records MaintenanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBA or AA degree preferredWork Environment

This role offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The standard hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility if you prefer to start earlier. This position is expected to last until October to cover a maternity leave. You will be reporting directly to the HR team leader and supporting the entire HR team with various tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
