Job Summary:
\nThe HR Specialist role supports, assists, and administers various human resources processes/procedures.
\nEssential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:
\n\nAssists with various committees, event planning, investigations, disciplinary actions, and other employee relations matters and activities.\nConducts new hire orientations, team member trainings, onboarding.\nInteracts professionally and confidentially with all levels in the organization to help resolve routine employee inquiries and concerns.\nCreates, manages, and maintains files and electronic records (e.g. new hire paperwork, training, attendance records, disciplinary actions, terminations, leaves of absence, etc.).\nConducts routine follow up on employee and contractor information (e.g. badges, Lockwork authorizations, government and court documents, licenses/certifications, etc.).\nSupports and assists with the talent acquisition process that includes creating job postings, screening applications/resumes, interview scheduling, pre-employment background processes, job offers/declinations, career fairs, Affirmative Action, etc.\nUpdates electronic communications, bulletin boards, etc. to facilitate HR-related communications.\nAssists with internal/external audits and regulatory reporting.\nConducts duties and supports the benefit process.\nAssists with creating and updating job descriptions.\nOther duties and projects as assigned.\n\n\n
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics:
\n\nAccurate, efficient, and timely execution of tasks.\nAbility to use sound judgment and discretion while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.\nStrong interpersonal, teamwork and relationship management skills; works effectively with all personalities.\nEnergetic, reliable and resourceful; exhibit initiative and creativity.\nAbility to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs.\nProficient with various MS applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.\nExcellent oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively with front-line leaders and employees.\nDetail oriented and organized.\nEffective time management and prioritization skills.\nDigital / social media savvy a plus.\nComfortable working occasionally in a live animal production (farm) and/or processing environment\nBilingual (English / Spanish), preferred.\n\n\n
Education & Experience:
