Summary About the Position: Serves as a division level staff advisor and action officer to the Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA), Health Services Human Resources Directorate, Defense Health Agency (DHA), Center of Excellence (COE). Provides advisory services to the center staff and senior leaders of the East Bravo Staffing Service Center. Responsibilities Responsible for planning and conducting special projects or studies to help identify operating issues and problems, or improvements to the delivery of human resources services. Evaluate the production cycle to identify metrics and improvements, provide management advisory services, training and strategic planning for resolution of recruitment or other issues. Conduct, lead, and/or participate in studies or workgroups to improve division operations. Promote the establishment and achievement of overall Civilian Human Resources (CHR) staffing program objectives throughout the CHRA DHA COE Service Centers and assists in implementing higher headquarters' directions. Serve as HR analyst for various special programs/projects in the Service Centers. Assist Service Center Chiefs in developing and monitoring review and analysis data. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting and advising on a wide variety of civilian recruitment and placement principles, concepts, practices, laws, and regulations; extracting reports from automated databases to identify and analyze staffing trends and production metrics; providing regulatory oversight for various functional programs and special projects; and providing administrative support services and program recomendations to senior leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: HR Information Systems Application Staffing and Recruiting Technical Credibility Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
