Collaborates with supervisors and employees to resolve timekeeping discrepancies, processes retroactive pay requests, and applies relevant pay policies.
Responsible for student hiring and serves as the subject matter expert for the RSPH Student Hire system, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Coordinates with central HR, Recruitment, Payroll, and Finance teams to align processes with established guidelines.
Supports the hiring process for temporary staff, including job classification reviews, offer preparation, and onboarding support.
Serves as the department FMLA representative, providing guidance and support for related cases.
Coordinates training sessions for students and employees as needed.
Organizes department programs and events, including Service Awards, professional development workshops, and other initiatives.
May assist in preparing and processing J1/H1B visa applications.
Facilitates special projects, audits, and ad hoc HR initiatives.
Handles department supply orders and expense reports.
Assist the HR Director, Manager, and Associates with other duties as assigned.

DescriptionKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Educates and assists management and employees within a particular division or department in the administration of human resources policies and procedures. Interprets policies and works with appropriate staff to effectively resolve human resources issues. Provides guidance to managers and supervisors regarding employee leave policies. May investigate and gather information regarding employee relations, Workers' Compensation and FMLA situations. Initiates employment requisitions and follows up on job postings and applicant referrals. Processes new hire and applicant tracking paperwork. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of employment documents. Reviews and obtains approval of time and attendance documents, processes reimbursements and special checks and maintains required documentation. Maintains databases, records and files and prepares reports. May assist with budget preparation and monitor expenditures for specific areas. Performs related responsibilities as required.ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of college coursework, and three years of office administration experience which includes two years of human resources experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of various personal computer software packages.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Superior attention to detail.Experience in higher education is highly desired.Experience with PeopleSoft, Kronos, and iCIMS.Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.Experience with Student Hiring.Experience digitalizing files.Experience working with staff, students, and faculty data.Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced team environment.Note: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to the employee.
