Your Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic HR Student to join our Regional Human Resources team. This is an exciting opportunity for a student to experience and participate in many key human resources functions that impact the employee life cycle. This will be a 4 or 8-month full-time term position starting in May 2025. The preferred location of this position is based out of our Vancouver office. Other locations such as Calgary or Edmonton are also being considered. 

Your Key Responsibilities

Assist HR Business Partners with activities related to Engagement, Retention, Compensation, and Workforce Planning. Support the talent acquisition process by completing requisitions and supporting Hiring Managers. Respond to employee enquiries in a timely manner. Organize, prioritize, and process administrative requests such as running and analyzing reports, preparing presentations, completing grant applications, verifying background checks, and compiling information for audits. Participate in Global HR calls and assist with organizational-wide human resource programs, projects or initiatives as assigned. Support the exit interviewing process, where applicable. Assist with relevant HR administrative tasks as required.  Have some fun!

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Demonstrate initiative and attention to detail. Ability to quickly learn how to use new software and online tools. Proficiency with MS Office including MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

Education & Experience

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree, with a focus on Human Resources, or Human Resources Diploma.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Additional Information Salary Range(s): Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Location Description: Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby) Min Pay Range: Lower Mainland $19.72 Per Hour Max Pay Range: Lower Mainland $27.05 Per Hour Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
