We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Human Resources team as a Summer Intern; note this will be a full-time, in-person role over the summer at our Costa Mesa office. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of HR while contributing to meaningful projects and initiatives within our organization. As an HR Summer Intern, you will work closely with HR professionals and gain exposure to recruitment, training and development, and HR administration.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with planning recruitment activities
2. Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing orientation materials, coordinating training sessions, and facilitating the completion of required paperwork.
4. Contribute to HR projects such as updating HR policies and procedures, conducting research on best practices, and developing employee engagement initiatives.
5. Assist in organizing and coordinating training and development programs, workshops, and events.
6. Provide administrative support to the HR team including maintaining employee records, preparing reports, and handling inquiries from employees.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
- Prior HR experience or relevant internships are a plus, but not required.
Summer Associate Range: We offer a total compensation package at the Clark Construction Group, LLC. Benefits could include commuter benefits or fitness reimbursement. Hourly rates will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations. For this role the hourly rate is $24-30/ hr.
