Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position spends the majority of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees' work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets.
Reviews records and monitors service delivery to ensure program compliance. Assists Program Manager with paraprofessional overview. Responds to customer complaints and acknowledge them by end of business day. Accurate and timely Completion of EARS in HMS and Timesheets in People First. Assists with special projects and initiatives. Trains new hires on SCRIPT Smoking Cessation curriculum and provides Script Refresher trainings. Assists with WellFamily system case assignments.
Assist with training staff on Interconception Education and Counseling curriculum. Ensures training certificates are received from Healthy Start staff; organizes training certificates in electronic files and completes monthly training reports. Assists with Quarterly Customer Satisfaction Survey Reports.
Ensures that care coordination staff are providing education services from curricula required by the Healthy Start Coalition such as Mothers and Babies and Interconception Education and Counseling. Ensures that staff are screening for depression using Edinburgh depression scale, and for child development using Ages and Stages Questionnaires.
Assists with entering DOH-Pasco generated referrals submitted to Pasco Connect for Intake into Excel Spreadsheet and
documenting when referrals are returned to DOH-Pasco Healthy Start staff via WFS by the Pasco Connect CI&R team for care coordination services; Assists Program Manager monitor WFS Systems Reports to ensure compliance with contractual deliverables. Assists Program Manager review and monitor WFS Task/Appointment Calendars and Tickler lists to ensure timeline compliance. Assists Program Manager review cases to ensure home visitors are screening clients for substance abuse, tobacco use, and interpersonal l violence. Assists Program Manager review cases to confirm home visitors are providing prenatal, postpartum, and infant/child dosage visits as outlined during Systems Training and are following Pathways based on results of screening scores.
Will use Spanish/English Bilingual skills to interpret for Spanish speaking participants as needed.
Assists with Healthy Start client service delivery which includes completion of Initial Assessments and ongoing care coordination for High-Risk participants as outlined by Healthy Start Standards and Guidelines and Healthy Start Contracts when needed.
Attends meetings/training sessions to enhance professional development. Interfaces with community partners to improve client service delivery. Assists Program Manager plan Healthy Start staff meetings. Helps Program Manager train staff on Healthy Start coding and care coordination service delivery/documentation.
Provides consultative services to community organizations, groups, or individuals regarding the Healthy Start Program. Participates in internal and/or external health related committees, workgroups and/or outreach events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of the impact of and interventions related to the special needs of substance abusing families and families with potential for or histories of domestic violence and/or child abuse; ability to assist each participant adjust to her role as a care giver and manage stress, demonstrated cultural sensitivity, motivational interviewing skills; ability to recognize a participant’ stage of readiness to stop tobacco use and/or other substances and to provide appropriate intervention as required; knowledge of child abuse and neglect indicators and the responsibility to report to the Florida Abuse Hotline.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word and Teams
4 yr degree in social sciences or a health related field;oran Associate +3 yrs public health or maternal/child health;or 2 Yrs of college +3 yrs public healthormaternal/child health;or LPN + 4 yrs public health or maternal/child health (as required by contract or grant)
Preferred:
2 yrs of case management or counseling experience
1 year supervision experience
