HVAC Controls Technician

Job Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HVAC Controls Technician to join our team in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. This position involves installation, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of residential and commercial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation, and refrigeration. Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tests on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation. Provide expert guidance to customers on HVAC system maintenance, energy efficiency, and upgrades. Lead and oversee junior technicians, providing training, guidance, and support when needed. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes, including Rhode Island regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with the service team to schedule appointments, track job progress, and provide exceptional customer service. Maintain accurate records of service calls, work completed, parts used, and time spent on jobs. Respond to emergency service requests and resolve HVAC-related issues in a timely and professional manner. Recommend and implement system upgrades, replacements, and other improvements to optimize system performance. Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Rhode Island Master HVAC License or equivalent certification. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and diagnostics. Building Automated Controls” BAC knowledge and understanding Strong ability to work independently and in a team environment. Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs). Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to work on-call or during evenings/weekends as needed. OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications preferred.

Schedule: Full-time days (Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm)


Pay Rate: $41.62 per hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
