HVAC Engineering Technician
Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for an R&D Engineering Technician opening with a machine manufacturer that serves the defense industry that is located in York, PA. This person will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting new and developing machinery to ensure reliability and adherence to customer specifications. This includes data collection and maintenance of data collected through the R&D process. Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position: + Test and troubleshoot completed products, interpreting test data effectively. + Understand pressure, psychrometric, and temperature charts, as well as electrical and refrigeration schematics. + Ability to perform brazing (preferred) and leak checking of units. + Handle refrigerants, including charging and recovery. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each test and complete traveler paperwork. + Diagnose machinery for repair and support field service work and repair. + Ensure that products meet customer quality requirements and report any quality issues. + Adhere to the company Quality Manual, safety and corporate policies, Standards of Conduct, and rules and procedures. Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates: + Associates Degree or equivalent professional experience in engineering, HVAC or a related discipline + Testing/troubleshooting experience + Experience performing testing using with environmental test chambers preferred + HVAC/ECU product knowledge + EPA Section 608 Certification (level 1 or 2) Preferred + Forklift and brazing experience (preferred) + Proficiency using LabVIEW software (preferred) + Defense industry experience (preferred) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
