What You Will Do:

Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking HVAC/Environmental Control Unit Field Technicians to support Patriot depot operations from 120 days up to 12 months in Miesau, Germany. The scope of the depot operations is to inventory, test, repair, and refurbish Patriot equipment. The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician shall be the SME on the maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of Environmental Control Unit (ECU) equipment. The technician shall be responsible for the inspection, inventory and testing of each ECU and associated spares, conducting PMCS during depot operations and System Integration and Check-Out (SICO). The HVAC Technician shall advise the Team Chief and Lead System Engineer on all matters pertaining to ECU repair and replacement to eliminate or minimize impact to depot and production operations. The HVAC Technician is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the PATRIOT Environmental Control cooling Unit on the Engagement Control Station (ECS), Information and Coordination Center (ICC), Communications Relay Group (CRG), and Battery/Battalion Maintenance Center (BMC). The Field Technician will utilize the Depot Maintenance Facility test equipment for the repair and maintenance of the environmental control units. The HVAC Technician provides technical assistance and assists with any equipment exchanges. The technician may also support the testing, operation, and repair of commercial off the shelf (COTS) Environmental Control Units. The technician will interface with equipment manufacturer for follow on support, on a required basis. Responsible for performing Preventive Maintenance Checks Services (PMCS), troubleshoot and repair of HVAC that support Patriot system.  Coordinates PMCS and repair activities to Engineering Lead.

Candidates for this position will be on a Long-Term International Assignment (LTIA) in Miesau, Germany. This position is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications You Must Have

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on knowledge and experience operating, maintaining, sustaining, and debugging of HVAC/Environmental Control Units.   Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs and living and working in an overseas location and lift 50 pounds. 

MUST HAVE CURRENT SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE, A VALID US PASSPORT, AND A US DRIVERS LICENSE.

Qualifications We Prefer

Familiarity working in depot and production type environments. 

Prior assignment on a Patriot SICO.

The ability to adapt and perform additional tasks with little or no supervision, as a team member.

Familiarity with Raytheon supply chain/maintenance procedures and terminology. 

Computer skills in ALCS, UNIX and Windows operating systems.

Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs and living and working in an overseas location.

Education:

Bachelor or Associate degree in engineering or Applied Science from an accredited university or High School graduate with HVAC Certification and equivalent work experience in the basis of two (2) years experience for each year of education (10 years of experience without a degree).

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
