HVAC/Facilities Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: HVAC/Facilities Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled HVAC/Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and other basic facilities maintenance tasks in Allentown, PA. This role involves maintaining HVAC units, performing plumbing and electrical repairs, and ensuring the efficient operation of the plant and building. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units. + Conduct basic facilities maintenance, including plumbing and electrical work. + Take pictures, enter notes, and create and complete work orders. + Call vendors for assistance when tasks exceed technical capabilities. + Identify and sell additional work opportunities. + Serve as a liaison between our client and Amcor. + Conduct fire extinguisher inspections. **Essential Skills** + Experience in HVAC, electrical, service, troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and inspection of HVAC units. + Ability to check belts and coils and ensure proper charge. + HVAC certification + Strong customer service skills. + Proficient computer skills and documentation abilities. + Understanding of industrial facilities, fire suppression systems, EPA regulations, and field service operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Well-rounded facilities maintenance experience. + Field service or customer-facing experience is a significant advantage. + Leadership or management experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** This role offers the opportunity to work with provided tools, interact with customers, and benefit from an overall comprehensive benefits package. **Work Environment** The position involves managing facilities in a plastic injection molding facility. The standard shift is from 7 am to 3:30 pm with some flexibility. Overtime and on-call duties may be required. The role requires close collaboration with management to ensure the efficient operation of the plant and building.
