Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description

Ensure all safety, security, and fire regulations and policies are followed for the Summit building and Facilities Equipment. Perform preventative maintenance procedures for Facilities equipment, Building, and Grounds as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor. Record task completions on Facilities Checks and Services Chart and make recommendations for major repairs and purchases to the Facilities Supervisor.

ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control Building Automation System to ensure optimal operation of chillers, cooling towers, and heat exchangers to meet plant needs.Monitor and control Compressed Air System to ensure compliance with required air pressure and energy usage.Repair Facilities equipment such as water pumps, cooling towers, water tanks, motors, supply and exhaust fans, and vacuum pumps for molding and printing.Assist with Chillers, Towers, and Heat Exchangers PM.Assist certified compressor and dryer technicians during scheduled PM.Perform maintenance and repairs on material handling systems, including rail car unloading system, vacuum pumps, motors, surge bin loaders, piping, and silo accessories.Inspect and maintain rooftop equipment, including A/C units, exhaust fans, roof drains, and ventilation systems.Assist with rooftop and mezzanine HVAC equipment PM.Maintain and repair Air Handling Units, VRF, gas space heaters, sprinkler systems, and associated equipment.Review water test results with Chemical treatment expert, repair chemical equipment, tanks, and pumps.Maintain good housekeeping in Mechanical room and Facilities storage areas.Support cleaners in maintaining external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks, and parking lots.Monitor work performed by gardeners or snow removal contractors.Perform minor gardening and lawn maintenance tasks.Complete and maintain related records such as maintenance logs and security incident reports.Transport equipment, furniture, and supplies using manual or powered aides such as dollies and carts.Operate Sky-Jack or Articulated Boom as required.Ensure energy savings and continuous improvement initiatives are followed.Perform other related duties as required.Perform all duties with care and safety, following industrial and company safety rules and policies.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitudeMechanic certificationElectrical skillsFacilities maintenance experiencePlumbing skillsHVAC repair experiencePreventive maintenance experienceWiring skillsIndustrial maintenance knowledgeAdditional Skills & QualificationsMechanically inclined with a positive can-do attitudeReliable and trustworthy with a strong work ethicFlexible and adaptable to various situations and individualsGood judgment and problem-solving skillsStrong sense of urgency and responsibilityEffective relationship-building with internal and external partnersCustomer-focused cultureWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Work is performed in a production environment with moderate noise levels. The role requires heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling, gripping and grasping, and some repetitive arm, wrist, and shoulder movements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
