This internship offers recent HVAC program graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience in the field. Interns will work alongside experienced technicians to learn about our services, assist with installations and repairs, and apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. **Job Duties & Responsibilities:** + Assist experienced technicians in installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems. + Learn diagnostic techniques and support troubleshooting efforts. + Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision. + Shadow field professionals to understand service protocols and safety standards. + Participate in training sessions and company workshops. + Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. + Document service calls and report on learning outcomes. + Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times. **Skills & Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** + Recent graduate or current student of an accredited HVAC trade school or technical college with 0-2 years of experience in HVAC-related work. + Basic understanding of HVAC systems, tools, and safety procedures, with at least 6 months of practical training or lab experience. + Strong work ethic and a desire to learn. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (attics, basements, outdoor spaces). + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with 1+ year of driving experience. + Good communication and teamwork skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** + EPA 608 Certification (or working towards certification). + Basic knowledge of electrical systems and controls, with 6-12 months of coursework or related experience. + Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical schematics, with 1+ year of training or exposure. + Previous hands-on experience (e.g., through school projects, part-time work, or internships) totaling at least 3-6 months. **Essential Job Functions:** + Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc. + Be able to lift up to 50lbs. + Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites. + Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site. + Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business. + Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl. **Application Process:** Please submit your resume along with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and how you meet the qualifications outlined above.
