HVAC Journeyman
**Job Title: HVAC Journeyman** **Job Description** The HVAC Journeyman will perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on HVAC systems, equipment, and components. Additionally, the role involves installations, repairs, and fabrication of sheet metal/metal components related to HVAC and other trades. This work is performed under general supervision using the tools and techniques of HVAC technology. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on HVAC systems, equipment, and components. + Install, repair, and fabricate sheet metal/metal components related to HVAC and other trades. + Apply HVAC theory, techniques, codes, procedures, and safety rules in the completion of tasks. + Use and maintain tools and equipment typically used in the HVAC and sheet metal trades, including precision measuring instruments, powered portable, bench, and hand tools, as well as non-powered hand tools. + Identify and avoid hazards as indicated by warning labels, signage, lights, and other warning devices. + Perform work efficiently within reasonable lengths of time, as measured against trade, industry, or engineered standards. **Essential Skills** + Proficient knowledge of HVAC theory, techniques, codes, and procedures. + Knowledge of sheet metal installation, repairs, and fabrication. + Ability to use HVAC and sheet metal tools and equipment safely and effectively. + Problem-solving and information management skills. + Proficient written and verbal English communication skills, at least at a high school graduate level. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma. + Journeyman certification. + Experience with commercial buildings. + Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems. + Experience with mechanical, installation, and electrical aspects of HVAC. **Why Work Here?** This position offers the opportunity to transition from a contract-to-hire (CTH) role to a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.
