**Job Title: HVAC Journeyman**
**Job Description**
The HVAC Journeyman will perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on HVAC systems, equipment, and components. This role also involves installations, repairs, and fabrication of sheetmetal/metal components related to HVAC and other trades. The work is performed under general supervision using the tools and techniques of HVAC technology.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on HVAC systems, equipment, and components.
+ Install, repair, and fabricate sheetmetal/metal components related to HVAC and other trades.
+ Apply HVAC theory, techniques, codes, and procedures.
+ Follow safety rules, procedures, and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
+ Use tools and equipment safely, including precision measuring instruments and powered/non-powered hand tools.
+ Solve problems and manage information effectively.
+ Communicate proficiently in written and verbal English to interact with departmental staff.
+ Identify and avoid hazards as indicated by warning labels, signage, lights, and other warning devices.
+ Complete work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry, or engineered standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Knowledge of HVAC theory, techniques, codes, and procedures.
+ Knowledge of sheetmetal installation, repairs, and fabrication.
+ Proficient use of HVAC tools and equipment.
+ Ability to solve problems and manage information.
+ Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Journeyman certification.
+ Experience with commercial buildings.

**Work Environment**
The work is performed in a hospital shop environment using various HVAC and sheetmetal trade tools and equipment, including precision measuring instruments and powered/non-powered hand tools.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, Maryland.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $34.64 - $37.32/hr.
