Job Title: HVAC Lab Technician
Job Description

The Lab Technician is responsible for setting up test facilities and instrumentation based on general instructions. This role involves supporting and collaborating with engineers to develop system testing capabilities and products. The Test Engineer will analyze and improve existing processes and designs as required, plan and execute test setups, and operate test facilities.

ResponsibilitiesSet up test facilities and instrumentation according to general instructions.Collaborate with engineers to develop and enhance system testing capabilities and products.Analyze and improve existing processes and designs as needed.Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.Troubleshoot and correct issues efficiently.Assist in the development of solutions or workarounds to resolve defects.Work with engineering and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to fully understand the low-level functions within application software or products.Assist the QA team in developing low-level functional and system integration tests.Conduct tests, analyze data, and make necessary modifications to units being tested within the scope of intermediate complexity.Ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks.Participate in 5S improvement programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHVACBrazingElectrical wiringLaboratoryPressure testingHVAC equipmentHVAC systemHVAC refrigerationTroubleshootingThermodynamicsEPA Universal Refrigerant Handling LicenseAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's Degree + 1 year OR at least 4 years' HVAC directly related experienceExperience with Brazing, piping, basic wiring (208/230/460V 3-phase 60 Hz wiring)General mechanical skills and ability to read mechanical drawings for prototype buildsExperience with testing data collection & documentationThermodynamics knowledgeEPA Universal Refrigerant Handling LicenseWork Environment

The work environment includes both an office and a testing lab setting. The role requires working with various HVAC systems and equipment. Safety procedures and protocols must be followed at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00
