**Job Title: TRUCK HVAC Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Diesel Mechanic or Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing temperature control systems for trucks, trailers, buses, marine containers, and rail cars. The Technician or mechanic may also complete new installations on these refrigeration units or transport temperature control systems. Technicians will be troubleshooting, repairing, or installing new and used auxiliary power units (APUs), Vehicle-powered (VP) units, Self-powered (SP) trucks, and Trailer refrigeration units.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot and repair temperature control systems for various vehicles and containers
+ Complete new installations on refrigeration units and transport temperature control systems
+ Work on refrigeration-related issues such as condensers leaking, hoses, repairing valves, and coils
+ Perform minor repairs on diesel engines, including engine wiring and small rebuilds
+ Utilize electrical and mechanical experience to work on trailer units with diesel engines
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting and repair experience
+ HVAC experience
+ Experience with refrigeration, diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical systems
+ Preventative and corrective maintenance
+ EPA certification
+ Service and installation experience
+ Diesel maintenance technician skills
+ Experience with heavy equipment
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2-3+ years of experience as a Diesel Technician or Mechanic or 2-3+ years of HVAC or Refrigeration experience
+ Some HVAC experience preferred - training on the diesel part will be provided
+ Transport refrigeration experience is a plus
+ Experience with Reefer, or Carrier systems

**Work Environment**
Clean open bay shop where you will work on a unit solo. Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the potential to work weekends and Saturdays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Pompano Beach, Florida.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
