Hvac Mechanic
**Job Title: HVAC Mechanic** **Job Description** Operate, maintain, repair, and install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment (HVAC/R), as well as control ancillary equipment and support systems. Respond to HVAC/R trouble calls and requests within the facilities using various tools and testing instruments. Perform routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections on HVAC/R equipment and related systems. **Responsibilities** + Operate, maintain, repair, and install HVAC/R equipment and support systems, including controls, regulators, motors, compressors, air stations, coils, fluid/gas piping, strainers, operating valves, and dampers. + Respond to HVAC/R trouble calls and requests within the facilities using hard tools, power tools, analyzing equipment, and testing instruments. + Perform routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections on HVAC/R equipment and related systems. + Prepare, maintain, and submit requisitions for material, work orders, required records, and reports pertaining to HVAC/R equipment/systems. + Maintain daily time sheets and information on work performed and time spent. + Interpret data from the Power Plant, mechanical systems, control systems, energy management systems, and shift log; take action and inform the Supervisor of the appropriate action taken when necessary. + Prepare or work from sketches, plans, and specifications in accordance with HVAC/R standards. + Analyze situations requiring the modification or repair of facility equipment/systems and make recommendations. + Service all refrigerant equipment and high-pressure appliances as defined by EPA40-CFR. + Assist in the work direction of other mechanics, trades helpers, and mechanics of other skilled trades. + Understand and adhere to compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. + Stay informed about all pertinent federal, state, and company regulations, laws, and policies as they currently exist and as they change or are modified. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Repair + Preventive maintenance + Building maintenance + Work orders + Plumbing + Experience with HVAC equipment to inspect and perform general maintenance + Ability to walk through mechanical rooms to identify potential problems + Reporting all problems found during the walkthrough + Responding to work orders or emergency calls + Computer data entry + Mechanical skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Technical school diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge + A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of HVAC/R equipment in an industrial, educational, or healthcare setting + Valid Driver’s License + Blue Seal Steam License **Why Work Here?** Enjoy benefits and tuition discounts once permanent.
