Key Responsibilities
\n\n\n\tHBS is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to join its Kanata, ON Service team.\n\tThis position requires travel within Ottawa, and surrounding area.\n\tConduct preventative maintenance functions and troubleshooting of machinery to reduce downtime and maximize efficiencies.\n\tOperate and maintain all mechanical room and other equipment including chiller refrigeration, boilers, pumps, compressors, condensers, and HVAC systems.\n\tTroubleshoot PLC and electrical problems and make changes as needed.\n\tBe the face of Honeywell to the customer and interact directly with end-users. \n\tLearn end-to-end delivery of Honeywell solutions.\n\n\n\nYOU MUST HAVE
\n\n\n\tHigh School Diploma, or GED\n\t3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman\n\tGas Technician Certificate (G-1 or G-2 with necessary provisions to attain G-1)\n\tMust be able to obtain security clearance and controlled goods\n\tA member of Local UA 787 or willing to join Union\n\n\nWE VALUE
\n\n\n\tPrevious industry experience\n\tOil Burner Technician Certification (OBT1, OBT2…)\n\tPrevious technical/installation experience\n\tPrevious customer service experience\n\tGood written and oral communication\n\tAbility to follow instructions\n\tAbility to lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally\n\n\nAccommodation is available upon request for applicants with disabilities under the Ontario Human Rights Code.
