Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a HVAC Mechanic Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be on site in Melbourne, Florida.

Essential Functions:Installs, services, modifies, rebuilds, and repairs air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment in an industrial or commercial establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulationsPerforms periodic inspection to locate and determine cause of equipment malfunctionsConducts maintenance program to prevent failure of such equipment as centrifugal compressors, electrical controls, evaporative condensers, pumps, fans, and heating equipmentCharges air-conditioning systems with refrigerant; checks and tests for leaksSets and adjusts controls and regulatorsFabricates, assembles, and installs duct work; overhauls equipmentMay service, modify, and maintain centralized HVAC computer systems and make program correctionsMay be required to install and maintain high-technology clean room environmentsTypically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2 HVAC Mechanic:High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of experience in HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Tower, Plumbing and Mechanical SystemsMust possess a Universal EPA LicenseMust possess an active Driver's LicenseMust be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:Chiller and cooling power experienceMaximo ExperienceFlexibility to occasionally work off shifts and weekends when requiredElectrical Juryman’s licenseWelding experience/certificationPlumbing Juryman’s licenseHands-on experience with Generators and UPS’sFire system maintenance/modification experience/certificationActive, In scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance

Salary Range: $51,200.00 - $85,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
