HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for designing HVAC equipment using AutoCAD, creating post-approval amendment drawings,

performing load calculations, and documenting existing site conditions.

This role also involves reviewing contractor submittals, evaluating building energy performance, and conducting site surveys.

Top 3 Must-Haves:

Proficiency in AutoCAD: Strong experience in using AutoCAD for mechanical design and markups.HVAC Design Experience: 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design within commercial interior fit-outs and outpatient medical facilities.Mechanical Engineering Expertise: Solid experience in mechanical engineering and HVAC engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC Design:Design HVAC equipment using AutoCAD.Create post-approval amendment drawings.Perform load calculations (Carrier – HAP preferred, TRANE TRACE acceptable).Documentation and Uploads:Upload drawings to DOB now.Conduct site surveys and document existing conditions.Review and Evaluation:Review contractor submittals and shop drawings.Evaluate building energy performance through on-site field measurements and energy analysis methods.Technical Calculations:Calculate cooling and heating loads.Size ducts and select equipment.Write specifications and estimate costs.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical markups.3-5 years of mechanical design experience.HVAC design experience within commercial interior fit-outs and outpatient medical facilities.Mechanical engineering and HVAC engineering expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Revit is a plus.Project management experience is a plus.Professional Engineer certification is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00
