HVAC Outside Sales Representative - Parts

Daikin Applied is seeking an HVAC Outside Sales Representative responsible for all functions related to developing new parts customer relationships and strengthening existing customer base to ensure maximum account penetration and customer retention. This person will identify key decision makers in the sales cycle and pursues relationships both in-person and through phone and email communication. This role supports processing parts sales, customer orders and responding to customer inquiries, questions or complaints regarding parts services. What you will do:

Functions as a sales representative and liaison between external customers and the direct sales and service offices in assigned territory. Develops new and existing customer accounts by cold-calling various locations in their territory with product literature and making follow-up visits to communicate specials. Performs analysis on customer needs to identify customer-specific opportunities to increase sales to existing accounts. Works with a current and evolving action plan to identify and meet customer needs. Establishes systematic customer contact to provide on-going information and feedback. Researches and provides competitive parts sales and market opportunity data. Maintains customer data files including identified problems, order/sales history, key contributors, contact information, etc. Creates and maintains territorial listing, noting classification of customer and frequency of calls. Attends sales meetings and reports sales activity, new account development, and upcoming itinerary. Possesses knowledge of the Daikin product line to be able to demonstrate and discuss with customers. Provide backup support for inside sales and other Outside Sales Representatives Develops multiple relationships with key players in customer operations. Develops and executes an account-specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable, and successful partnership with both internal and external customers. Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required. Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.

Qualifications:

Must have:

Associate degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of related sales experience Ability to travel territory daily Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Nice to have:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field Commercial HVAC industry experience Experience with Salesforce or any other sales tracking software

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $89,600 - $110,300 in Massachusetts. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a sales incentive plan.
