**Job Summary:**
Micron's Facilities Team is looking for an expert HVAC/R Operations Technician to join their new wafer fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. This role is perfect for a dynamic, driven, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and unwavering integrity. You will collaborate closely with trades maintenance technicians to ensure detailed system maintenance, including operating equipment to facilitate maintenance activities.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Understand mechanical and HVAC/R systems, including chiller plants, compressed air, heating water, cooling water, process exhaust, cleanroom HVAC/R, and general building HVAC/R.
+ Adhere to all safety procedures, including LOTO and NFPA 70E standards, and work with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) as first responders.
+ Provide timely and detailed preventive maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment, and maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment.
+ Perform routine maintenance, order and maintain equipment, meet local HVAC/R codes, and communicate with clients and customers.
+ Conduct various rounds and readings, system and alarm monitoring, and troubleshoot faults and alarms. Understand P&ID drawings and one-line diagrams.
+ Respond effectively and proficiently to restore equipment to service as soon as possible in the event of a system failure. Identify and respond to alarm conditions.
+ Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and increase system stability.
+ Read and interpret wiring diagrams, understand refrigeration cycles, and interpret various technical data, such as pressure and temperature.
+ Perform light assembly with hand-held tools weighing less than 3 lbs.
+ Work with various gases and chemicals used for production processes and maintenance.
+ Lift 25-40 pounds regularly.
+ Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
+ Wear personal protective gear, including respirator breathing apparatus.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ High school diploma and/or GED.
+ Ability to work onsite and/or outside.
+ Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) and switch from days to nights every 4 months, with the ability to move to different shifts to support facilities as required by business needs.
+ Willingness to work additional overtime to support business needs.
+ Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a shift and walk intermittently (1-5 miles per shift).
+ Ability to perform tasks while bending, crouching, or kneeling.
+ Ability to climb ladders and work with arms raised above head level.
+ Ability to see and respond to potentially dangerous situations.
+ 0 months - 1 year of industry or Facilities Maintenance experience.
+ 1 year of HVAC, Refrigeration, Maintenance, or Manufacturing experience.
+ 1 year of military training or experience involving technical skills in HVAC/R, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
+ 1 year of mechanical knowledge or experience with mechanical systems, tools, or machines.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ 2+ years of industry or Facilities Maintenance experience.
+ 2+ years of HVAC, Refrigeration, Maintenance, or Manufacturing experience.
+ 2+ years of military training or experience involving technical skills in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
+ 2+ years of mechanical knowledge or experience with mechanical systems, tools, or machines.
+ A valid HVAC/R license.
