**HVAC Service Manager** **Job Description** The HVAC Service Manager will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, providing input to any change of status of other employees, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The manager will prepare technicians for daily jobs with materials and details and assist dispatch with schedule changes. Additionally, the manager will act as lead technical support for the department and provide consistent training in company procedures, including perfect call scripts, selling techniques, inspections, quoting, and promoting company vision and values. The role also involves supporting the manager in developing the team to achieve personal and department goals. **Hard Skills** + HVAC installation + diagnosis + troubleshooting + repair knowledge **Soft Skills** + Strong leadership + communication + conflict management + scheduling + budgeting + planning + financial and business acumen **Job Type** This is a permanent position. **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Aurora, Illinois. **Work Environment** Position will be based mainly in an office setting but will also involve fieldwork. The main function is managing the HVAC team, driving results, holding accountability, building culture, and increasing profitability. In the field, the work environment will include both residential and commercial properties. Expect to work in 100-degree weather in the summer and freezing temperatures during the winter.
