Hvac Service Technician
**Job Title: HVAC Service Technician** **Job Description** A Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial settings such as offices, retail stores, and other business establishments. They will work with blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and maintain preexisting HVAC units. **Responsibilities** + Regularly inspect and test HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly. + Diagnose and troubleshoot any malfunctions in HVAC systems. + Repair or replace faulty parts in HVAC systems. + Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance. + Ensure HVAC systems are energy efficient and comply with safety and environmental standards. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years in HVAC Service (Commercial or Residential) + OSHA 10 / EPA Certifications + Reliable Transportation and Valid License + Proficiency in repair, service, electrical work, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and boiler operations **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in HVAC servicing + Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance + Familiarity with OSHA and EPA standards **Why Work Here?** + Car Allowance and Company Uniforms + Medical, Vision, and Dental Coverage with a 401k match + Power tools provided + Opportunity to be reimbursed for trainings/schooling + All PPE is provided outside of work boots + Opportunity for Company Vehicle once direct **Work Environment** The company operates with the motto 'Hire for attitude, train for skill'. The team consists of 23 people and is looking to grow. Employees have a lot of freedom, which comes with responsibility. They will drive themselves to job sites within 30 miles of the headquarters in Rochester, NY. Projects vary in size depending on the client and location. Typical hours are 7 AM - 3:30 PM with a 1/2 hour lunch. Service Techs will use ladders, cranes, lifts, refrigerants, trade tools, and testing equipment. They will be on call for 24 hours for one week (Monday through Sunday) every 5-6 weeks, with a $100 bonus for each on-call week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
