**Job Title: HVAC Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, installing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC tools, materials, operation, and repair techniques.
**Responsibilities**
+ Repair, install, inspect, diagnose, and maintain all parts of HVAC systems.
+ Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations applicable to HVAC.
+ Work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
+ Participate in on-call rotation and respond to service calls as needed.
+ Travel across state lines for service calls.
+ Read and follow repair manuals for effective troubleshooting.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanically inclined with excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Good communication and organizational skills.
+ Thorough understanding of HVAC tools, materials, operation, maintenance, and repair.
+ Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
+ Understanding of safe mechanical practices and applicable codes and regulations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ NATE Certified, completed HVAC training, or 5-year service experience required.
+ Universal EPA Certification required.
+ Valid driver's license with no driving restrictions and an insurable driving record.

**Work Environment**
Prolonged periods of standing and walking are required. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The role involves working in all weather conditions, and some weekend and night shifts may be necessary. You will be exposed to various smells, temperatures, noises, chemicals, and moving mechanical parts associated with HVAC systems, construction, and renovation. Personal protective equipment must be worn/used. The job involves travel from Chicago to the far north suburbs.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00
