HVAC Technician
**Overview** We are seeking a skilled and experienced **HVAC Technician** to join our team. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM ABM 2025 Employee Benefits (Frontline) (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Frontline\_v2\_English\_9.5.24.pdf) | Programa de Beneficios de ABM (2025) (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/ABM\_2025\_Employee\_Benefits\_Frontline\_Spanish\_v2\_9.5.24.pdf) **Key Responsibilities:** + Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and refrigeration units. + Perform routine maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively. + Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems and replace or repair defective components. + Test system performance using specialized tools and equipment to ensure proper operation. + Inspect HVAC systems and their components to identify potential issues and recommend preventive solutions. + Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and regulations. + Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance tips, and repair recommendations to clients. + Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities. + Keep up-to-date with advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices. + Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED. + EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I, II, III, or Universal). + Proven experience as an HVAC technician or in a similar role. + Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment. + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints. + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Good communication and interpersonal skills. + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. + Experience with energy-efficient and smart HVAC systems. + Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS). + Proficiency in computer-based diagnostics and maintenance management software.
