Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with a minimum of 4 years of commercial HVAC service experience and expertise in Variable Refrigeration Volume (VRV) systems. The role involves traveling to businesses daily, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial air conditioning and heating systems.

ResponsibilitiesTravel to businesses daily as scheduledPerform preventative maintenance on existing HVAC systemsTroubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial air conditioning and heating systems, including Heat Pumps, Split Systems, Package Units, Ductless Splits, Boilers, Chillers, WSHP, Cooling Towers (up to 20 Tons), Daiken VRV, Electric motor controls (contactors, starters, relays, disconnects, thermostats, etc.), Humidifiers, air cleaners, and other HVAC accessoriesHandle Roof Top commercial HVAC unitsPerform recovery and vacuum regulationsEssential Skills4+ years of commercial HVAC service experienceExperience with VRV (Variable Refrigeration Volume) systemsAbility to troubleshoot and fix systemsEPA certificationExperience with Daiken, Trane, Mitsubishi, and Fujitsu systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with cooling towersExperience in commercial constructionLeadership or foreman experienceInstallation and preventive maintenance skillsExperience with boilers, PLC control, and sheet metalWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Most work is located in Central and some North Jersey areas, with no business in NYC. HVAC technicians will rarely be in the office and will either travel straight to the site or meet at the office in the morning to travel together. The current team includes 1 Field Supervisor, 1 Estimator, 1 Service Manager, 1 Dispatcher, 4 Service Technicians, and 2 Helpers. Working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fanwood, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
