Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Description

As an HVAC technician, you will install and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within plant buildings. Your primary responsibilities will involve performing preventative maintenance, but you will also install duct, compression, and other HVAC systems in buildings throughout the plant. This role is multidimensional, combining practical skills with technical knowledge, and requires experience in a commercial setting.

ResponsibilitiesRepair malfunctioning HVAC systemsInspect functioning systems for potential issues and perform preventative maintenanceInstall new HVAC systems in new build or renovation projectsFollow blueprints from other HVAC specialists or design your own systemsTest and troubleshoot your installations after completionInterpret blueprints and building specifications to map out installationsInstall components such as compressors, motors, piping, and ductsConnect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other componentsTest individual components to ensure proper installation and operationEnsure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environmentTroubleshoot systems and identify problemsReplace or repair defective partsPerform emergency repairs while ensuring compliance with safety standardsKeep detailed records of work performed and parts usedStay current with advances in HVAC technology and best practicesPerform the duties of a Maintenance Repair Person as neededEssential SkillsValid license to perform work as an HVAC technician in the state of NevadaExperience with HVAC, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, mechanical, and electrical workAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to interpret blueprints and building specificationsProficiency in installing compressors, motors, piping, and ductsExperience with connecting systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other componentsStrong problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and ability to keep accurate recordsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in an industrial environment at a union facility. The position is Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Henderson, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87401.60 - $87401.60/yr.
